20 tons of emergency equipment items were sent on January, 14th on board an aircraft of the French Red Cross to Haiti.
These items are mobile Aquaforce units, a very compact water production, storage and water distribution systems. They will be used to supply 15,000 to 20,000 people with drinking water, following the initial emergency work and the necessary clearing operations.
3 Veoliaforce volunteers left with the French Red Cross teams. They have joined by another 4 volunteers based in Guadeloupe.
On Monday January, 18th , 2 other Veoliaforce experts left also with the Action contre la Faim association, bringing two additional Aquaforce units.
Veolia Force is a humanitarian emergency unit supported by volunteer employees from the 4 divisions of Veolia Environnement, who are willing to contribute their skills as part of international solidarity initiatives.
