Code of Ethics

The Ethics, Commitment and Responsibility programme, crafted at theheadquartersofparent company Veolia Environnement in France, is common to all divisions and countries in which the Group operates and is respected by 240,000 employees worldwide.

Purchasing strategy

Central purchasing by Veolia Voda in the Czech Republic has been incorporated into the Ethics, Commitment and Responsibility programme and is governed by two documents setting out an ethical and legal framework for Veolia Environnement's worldwide activities.

We provide services to a variety of different customers (municipal, industrial and contractual customers and consumers). As a customer-oriented company, we strive for quality of service and customer satisfaction.

Operating model

In the Czech Republic - as elsewhere - a split operating model is in use in the water industry and is applied by Veolia Voda. This is the most common operating model in the Czech Republic (accounting for 67% of the Czech market).

Through its educational projects, Veolia Voda provides guidance on environmental protection and green behaviour to the general public, customers and, especially, children.

Social dimension

Veolia Voda is highly committed to social issues, especially through the Veolia Foundation, which it founded in 2003. Together, we draw up in-house and foundation projects or participate in the projects of other organizations.

The Veolia Foundation is a company foundation (endowment fund) establishedin 2003, since when it has pursued its objectives and mission.

Sheltered cafes

Veolia Voda supports sheltered (training) cafes, designed for the psychosocial rehabilitation of people with mental illnesses and to assist their subsequent integration into everyday life.

Veolia Voda's principal business is inherently linked to the environment. The company seeks to minimize the environmental impact of its operations by developing new technologies or by benchmarking companies and sharing good practice. Veolia Voda has also included the environmental dimension among its priorities in the framework of its CSR strategy.

Activities associated with the production of drinking water and wastewater treatment, which are the core business of the companies in the Veolia Voda Group, are inherently very closely linked to nature. Veolia Voda's operations undeniably affect the water cycle innature, and therefore, using its own technological know-how, it seeks to minimize the impact of its activities on the environment. In particular, it strives to protect water resources.

These are two grant schemes in which employees have the opportunity to apply for financial support for environmentally-oriented community projects in which they are involved on a voluntary basis.
